another busy week for me. guess i'll be extremely busy for the month of july. i still have a competition coming up on 23rd july, which is 1-2 week before prelims and also it is sharmaine's one year old birthday. besides competition, i also have a performance coming up this coming sunday at downtown east and 1 week before competition, i have a concert at NAFA. putting band aside, i still have daily homeworks or remedials given by teachers. but it's alright, things will get better when the competition ends because i won't be going for band on sunday till my Os are over. ironically, i kind of enjoy such busy lifes. if only there's money involved.LOL!
thursday
a busy day for me. in the morning, i went for band till around 10.30 then i left for art. stayed in there till 12.30 and my canvas is done! i'm left with touching up only. after art, i went back to the bandroom for awhile to practise a little more. i'm lazy to practice at home,lol. afterwhich, i rushed all the way home to bathe, bring out the things for bbq and set off to east coast to meet up with classmates. the walk from the bus stop to the pit was extremely far. like walking from west mall to my house,lol. stayed for around an hour and i left for band. luckily mdm tan gave me a ride home, if not i think i'll be extremely late for band. took my clarinet, changed, ate a few bites of biscuit and left for band practice. were already exhausted when i reached. eyes were getting more and more dry. practice ended at 10 then walked to the station with chunhui. had my first meal at 11 and slept like a dead log at 12.30
friday
woke up at 11.30 by shihui's message. bathed, packed bag and trained down to vivo. shihui, genevieve and i were coincidently in the same train. i had a balance training in the train. the train were delayed and it was super crowded. one aunty, i don't want to be racist and say it's race, took away my one and only support. she graped the handle above me as soon as i let go of my hand. like wtf! she can grap the pole behind me. my legs were shaking and i felt like falling down anytime. luckily i reached my stop after much torture, lol! met up with them outside candy empire. the girls were late so we had to treat the guys drink but min sein, after being taught by me became kind. so he don't want us to treat him, instead, we treated nicholas. after lunch, we headed to sky park for some meeting then daidi! after that. lol! i'm losing initially but nicholas caught up with me not long after. i have 2 good advisors in daidi. at around 5, we headed to sentosa siloso beach to watch sunset. as we were kind of early, we played some daidi and cheat. after watching sunset, we sat there enjoying the breeze until we got really cold. back to vivo and they had mac for dinner. chatted for 2 hours there and we left home at 10.30.

yesterday was a busy day for me. i went to school for band and art in the morning, then i rushed back home to change and bring the stuffs and bbq and set off to east coast for class bbq, then rushed back home again to take my instrument and rushed all the way to sws. luckily mdm tan gave me a ride home, if not i think i'll be extremely late for practice. blog more tonight. i'm going out again. see ya!
i know i'm a few days late but it's better than nothing. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
in a blink of an eye, i'm stepping down (like finally) throughout these years in huayi band, i have met good people and friends whom i can talk to. like joey, charmaine, jiaojun, olga and melissa. there's more, but i open up more to them. these few years in hycb, i've learnt how to be more responsible, how to work well together with others and my knowledge about music has definately grown. it's no more single things like doh, ray, me now.
i would also like to thank mr tan for his guidance and patience towards us. without him, i don't think the band would have maintained our silver. he may be naggy, but he meant us well. he always campare us with other bands because he does not want us to feel proud. he wants us to be humble and take it as a motivation to work hard. nobody wants to lose right? also, i would like to thank the teacher-in-charges for sacraficing their time to look through the things that we'd proposed,etc. mdm khaw may have left, but she has created a huge impact on me. i don't treat her as a teacher, in fact, i treat her as a friend or a mother. lol! she is straight forward but that's what a lot people like about her. she is actually a very caring teacher despite always seeing her quarrelling with my classmates or scolding people, lol! mrs wong, hope that you have enjoyed the celebration. you must be surprised and touched, right?! ms chia and ms nasuha for always staying up late with us so that we can pass you the keys and making sure that all our practices go smoothly. i know they may not read this, but i just want to thank them. i'm not someone who express through action, i show through typing/ writing out. lol!
the newly appointed committee members, section leaders and assistant section leaders, do your role well. do not be lazy! do your job well so that people respect you. next year will be the syf year, so there's more job for you guys. perserve and it'll be gone soon. after that, you'll find that everything is worth it. as leaders of the band, you have to show examples. never resort to violance because only babarians does that. musician must be more cool-headed. we cannot be so impulse. listen to more classical music and i promise you that you'll change to be a more patience person. pay more attention towards your member. some quiet ones don't show out their emotions so you must have powerful eyes to notice them.
to the whole band, all the best for syf'11. don't ask for more, maintaining a silver will do. remember, only losers give up. take each critism as a form of motivation. these 2 are able for all of you to succeed- in future or now. practice hard, so that you wont let mr tan's effort go to waste. conquer all your fears. be it stage fright or whatever. for our band, going up on stage and collapse on syf or performance day has been a common thing for us. so, please try your best not to collapse on syf day. cooperate with the majors, your SL as well as mr tan. do not show black face or 'huh!' when given task. some may dislike marching but this determines whether are we able to go for syf.
to clarinet section, WE'RE THE MOST BONDED SECTION SEH! so, no inter-disagreement. don't like anything, just voice out and settle it. sorry that i have not been a good senior. i don't remember any of your birthdays or who is my juniors.lol! i remember once that an instructor told me that clarinet is a nice instrument. we can go as low as 4 ledger lines and as high as 4 ledger lines as well. we can go up to 4 octaves for some notes. also, we don't need to vibrato and our sound is already very nice,LOL! practice hard. basics are boring but they're important. 16 beats for all notes loudly and do tonguing every day seriously help alot. if you're extremely busy, give yourself half an hour to do your basics so that your embrochure does not relax. also, please listen to your tuning. by now, you should know how to tune to each other already, right? i've taught you all how last week(i think). we sat outside bandroom and check note by note, remember? thanks alot for the flowers, card and monkey! i did not expect any gifts at all, seriously. i didnt know that you all love me that much, MUHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA!! all the best for syf next year! anything that you don't know about clar can ask me. i'll try my best to help.
band camp was fun!
i will be away for a 3 days 2 nights camp. this will be my last band camp, and the last time i'm organising anything for this band. after that, i'll let the new committee members take full charge of everything. will be back on wed, provided i'm still alive.
shopping is loved!finally had my retail therapy after ssssssssooooooo long! before meeting up with girlfriends, i had normal lessons in school. waited for the rain to stop in art room till 1 then off to meet valerie and melissa at bus stop. cabbed down to jurong point as vivian was already there. ate at pizzahut for branch. nice catching up! and i guess non of us dare to eat bread for the next few days, especially vivian and i, right? lol.
after that, we sent val off at the mrt station then they headed to my house. bathed, waxed our legs then went bugis with yam at around 4.30. vivian had korea lesson so she did not go with us. bought 2 tops and a bottom there and yam bought a blazer there. then, we trained down to far east for more shopping but we bought nothing there. it's either too expensive or it's not to our liking. left at around 9.30 after yam bought a high waist shorts.
went ntuc extra to meet up with mum, bought yoghurt then homed. went aunt's place at around 11.30 to sort of celebrate grandma's birthday. watched tv, talked, joked and walked back at around 1.

i didn't go to school today as i am sick. migraine acted up yesterday and i almost vomitted outside. i can feel my saliva secreting out from my checks. luckily i went home straight after band, if not i think i'll vomit in the bus. it acted up at the beginning of band but i was stubborn and told myself that i can only go after band. slept for 2.5 hours and woke up at 9.30 and my headache is still there. took medicine and slept at 11. i have flu also but it was a mild one, so i didn't bother much.i did some research about migraine and here it goes:
Migraine is a chronic condition with recurrent attacks. Most (but not all) migraine attacks are associated with headaches.
•Migraine headaches usually are described as an intense, throbbing or pounding pain that involves one temple. (Sometimes the pain is located in the forehead, around the eye, or at the back of the head).
•The pain usually is unilateral (on one side of the head), although about a third of the time the pain is bilateral (on both sides of the head).
•The unilateral headaches typically change sides from one attack to the next. (In fact, unilateral headaches that always occur on the same side should alert the doctor to consider a secondary headache, for example, one caused by a brain tumor).
•A migraine headache usually is aggravated by daily activities such as walking upstairs.
•Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, facial pallor, cold hands, cold feet, and sensitivity to light and sound commonly accompany migraine headaches. As a result of this sensitivity to light and sound, migraine sufferers usually prefer to lie in a quiet, dark room during an attack. A typical attack lasts between 4 and 72 hours.
An estimated 40%-60% of migraine attacks are preceded by premonitory (warning) symptoms lasting hours to days. The symptoms may include:
•sleepiness,
•irritability,
•fatigue,
•depression or euphoria,
•yawning, and
•cravings for sweet or salty foods.
this bastard has been disturbing me for the past few years and caused many disturbance to me.
she is as pretty and adorable as me :))) indeed, a baby seriously brings more laughter and noise in the house.sws in the morning was screwed. i don't know what i was doing all the while, wasn't concentrating at all. played hell lots of wrong notes and rushed all running notes. i took bus back home today for the first time after joining this band for around 1.5 years.
when mistakes keep repeating, you'll realise that the scoldings you hear gets lesser and lesser. eventually, the one who scolds you get tired of it and their heart turns cold. it is really an irony that everybody in the house finds you irritating and your parents do not care about you anymore.
I MISS ALL OF THE ABOVE! i'm meeting girlfriends next fri, primary school mates on the 3rd week of june and yingshao and zhuangmin on the 18th june. olga, jiaojun, charmaine and joey, when are you girls free?! i think i'll be meeting ah ga and char on melissa's home-coming. jiaojun and joey, when are you girls free?
